Phytech Youth – Digital Technologies to Increase the Physical Activity of Young People

Objectives
The project aims to:
- Systematic Literature review on the usage of digital technologies by youth for physical activity aims
- PhytechYouth online platform to enhance knowledge around digital technologies and physical activity in youth
- Training sessions for 30 youngsters
Activities
The project will engage in the following activities:
- Empowering youth physical activity by raising awareness among youngsters
- Raising awareness about non-communicable health problems such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases etc.
- Identifying barriers and opportunities about participation to physical activities and offering solutions.
- Defining the relationship between physical activity and technology
- Assessing the impact of digital technologies on youth
- Introducing Digital Technologies developed to increase physical activity, and informing youth about the use of these technologies
- Determining barriers and facilitators for the use of Digital Technologies developed to increase physical activity
Results
The project will generate the following outcomes:
- Systematic Literature review on the usage of digital technologies by youth for physical activity aims
- Guideline on how to use digital technologies to enhance physical activity, by identifying barriers and opportunities
- Enhancement of physical activity among and beyond project participants
- Development in organizational level (professional development for staff, capacity increase etc.)
